Dr Floren Colloud is the Chair of the ISBS 2015 Conference. Floren has been an ISBS member since 2002, when he was still a PhD student. Floren is a former elite rower and owns coaching certificates for rowing (first and second levels).

Since 2005 he has been an Associate Professor of Biomechanics at the Faculté des Sciences du Sport from the Université de Poitiers. Floren actually heads the Multibody System Dynamics sub-group of the Institut Pprime (CNRS UPR 3346). His research interests focused on developing subject-specific 3D biomechanics models to analyse and simulate sports movement. Floren has a particular interest in cyclic sport movements such as cycling, rowing and kayaking.

Recently, Floren also served as Guest Editor of two special issues of “Movement and Sport Sciences” published in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
